Job Description

What you'll be doing:

We're looking for a Senior Journalist to produce high-quality editorial content across our website, YouTube, and social platforms. This is a hybrid role where you'll research and write to a high standard, present confidently on-camera for video content, and represent our editorial team at industry events. You'll also help shape the next generation of our content by commissioning contributors and mentoring junior writers.

• Research, write, and produce editorial content — including reviews, comparisons, features, and news — translating industry trends and emerging stories into fresh content ideas
• Present on-camera for video content including reviews, explainers, and platform-native formats — this is a mandatory requirement of the role
• Support and mentor internal writers and freelance contributors by commissioning and editing their work to a consistent editorial standard
• Represent the editorial team at media events, launches, and industry functions, building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts
• Share knowledge and contribute to editorial planning, content calendar development, and cross-team collaboration with Production and Audience Development

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who brings curiosity, editorial judgement, and confidence in front of a camera, along with the collaborative instincts to mentor others and work across teams.

• Strong familiarity with automotive content, whether through journalism, enthusiast writing, or industry experience
• Proven ability to write to deadline across multiple formats, from breaking news to long-form reviews and comparisons
• Sound knowledge of on-camera presentation techniques, with genuine comfort and confidence being filmed
• Experience commissioning, editing, or mentoring other writers or contributors
• A collaborative approach to working with production, video, and audience teams to get the best result across platforms
