Day-to-day work involves writing and distributing press releases, pitching stories to journalists and editors, managing a network of media contacts, briefing spokespeople, and monitoring press coverage. In digital-focused variants of the role, they also run digital PR campaigns designed to earn backlinks and online visibility.
