A key part of getting there is making our offer undeniably valuable, through new category expansion, "Certified by" brands alliances, and high-impact commercial bundles.
As Senior Manager, Brand Partnerships, you'll own this agenda end-to-end. From closing your first SharkNinja expansion deal to launching an iPad + Duolingo bundle, you'll be the person who makes it happen, across FR, DE, ES, UK, and US (and JP). This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone equally comfortable thinking strategically and getting things done.
YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇
🚀 80% – Build and Scale Brand Partnerships
You'll own the full partnership pipeline, from first conversation to live program.
Close deals: Lead outreach, pitching, negotiation, and contract structuring with priority brands across Home Appliances (SharkNinja, Dyson, Groupe SEB, Philipps), Laptops (ASUS, Dell, Lenovo), Consoles (Sony, Playstation, Valve), Mobile (Google Pixel, Samsung), and others Tech Accessories (DJI,reMarkable)
Lead Brands Commercial Partnerships: Manage relationships with commercial brands partners, aligning business objectives with key stakeholders.
Grow "Certified by" offer: Drive CPO alliance expansion with a priority focus on UK and US, where Back Market currently has no Impactful certified brand partnerships
Launch bundles: Design and scale commercial bundles that increase perceived value (e.g., device + Brands freemium service pairings like iPad + Duolingo, Strava + Apple Watches…)
Coordinate handoffs: Ensure smooth transitions to BD onboarding (3-month window) and then to account management
Drive Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams
Establish Governance: Lead partner meetings, report performance, and share best practices across markets
Track and improve: Own KPIs across pipeline health, "Certified by" growth, bundle GMV, and AOV impact
🔍 20% – Identify New Opportunities
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective brand and bundle partners, working closely with the GM EU, UK & US teams to leverage their market expertise and strengthen local credibility and commercial legitimacy.
Represent Back Market externally at relevant industry events
Benchmark our partnership offer vs. competitors and flag emerging opportunities
YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐
You have 10+ years in BD, brand partnerships, or commercial alliances, ideally in e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer tech
You've closed and managed complex deals with large, multi-stakeholder organizations
You move fast, work autonomously, and don't wait to be handed a playbook
You're data-driven and can translate pipeline metrics into clear business recommendations
You communicate clearly, whether pitching a brand partner or aligning internal teams
You're fluent in English (French is a plus)
Multi-market experience (EU + US) is strongly preferred
