UGC Creator Manager job description
Our mission is to open the door to the life-changing impact of education. We build market-leading, online college credit and test-preparation solutions that help working adults earn their degrees, advance their careers, and achieve economic mobility. Recognized by Fast Company and GSV 150 as one of the world’s most innovative education companies, we are also at the forefront of AI-first learning, combining artificial intelligence with the latest learning science to improve access and outcomes at scale.
Our product is our impact. Through our Keys to College and Keys to the Classroom initiatives, we have saved students over $700 million in tuition and enabled hundreds of thousands of learners to pursue and succeed in careers across nursing, teaching, counseling, business, and other high-demand fields. We are deeply focused on measurable outcomes and building products that create meaningful, lasting change in people’s lives.
About the role
Millions of learners use Study.com to earn college credit, pass certification exams and move ahead in their careers. Many have a story worth telling, and they are the best people to tell it.
The Creator Program Manager (UGC) will be responsible for making sure that Study.com’s customer voices are authentically integrated across multiple social media channels, as well as work with creator partners to reach audiences who Study.com best serves. This person will effectively build the engine that sources current and past customers who have the potential to become effective creator partners. This role balances scaled outreach with coaching and developing resources to grow the customer voices pipeline, with management of long-term creator relationships and creator campaign execution. You'll use AI tooling and automated outreach to surface real outcomes, bring people in as partners, and develop the best customer voices into valuable creators for our channels.
You'll feed a content engine producing thousands of high-quality videos a year across 10+ verticals and 30+ TikTok, Instagram and YouTube channels. Success takes a builder's mindset, hands-on AI fluency, and a social-native mindset.
This role is based in our Mountain View, CA office and is hybrid in office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Key responsibilities
- Build the program. Define who we recruit, how we reach them, what we ask from them, and what they get. Make it repeatable at scale.
- Social Strategy. Elevate social content produced by customer and creator partners through your expertise in trends, formats, platform updates, and cultural movements.
- Turn customer stories into content worth posting. Find learners and partners with real outcomes (credit earned, exams passed, careers changed) across every vertical we serve and translate their stories into scroll-stopping content.
- Manage partner production. Take customer partners from "yes" to their first published video fast, with the brand basics and approved claims they need to deliver our value.
- Develop playbooks for customer voices. Build guides, trainings and feedback that sharpen hooks, storytelling and filming, without writing their voice for them.
- Grow talent. Spot the strongest creators early, coach them to their potential, and work with our social video leads to determine who is consistently featured.
- Hit volume and quality targets. Generate a steady flow of authentic content into our channels, and work with the social and content teams so the best voices land in the right places.
- Measure and report. Track volume, quality, retention and the conversion metrics, and turn the results into clear recommendations.
- Manage payments and compliance. Run a simple pay structure with Finance and make sure every creator follows disclosure rules and approved claims.
AI Systems & Program Scaling
- Automated discovery. Set up the systems that find and score potential creators from our customer base, reviews, communities and social platforms.
- Outreach at scale. Run personalized, automated outreach to thousands of prospects, and route the most promising to a real conversation.
- AI-assisted vetting. Screen applications and sample content for story strength, on-camera presence, and brand fit.
- Content prompting. Generate prompts, story angles and brief templates tied to our verticals to leverage effective formats and trends.
- Quality at scale. Develop AI checks so every piece is accurate, compliant and channel-ready before it publishes.
- Continuous improvement. Collaborate with our AI Ops team. Automate what repeats and refine what works, using and extending our in-house tools, so the program grows without getting heavier.
Required qualifications
- 2+ years in UGC, creator programs, influencer marketing or social-first growth, including building a program from scratch.
- Strong, proven skills in creator discovery and in building and amplifying brand presence through UGC and social media.
- Hands-on experience building AI and automation workflows (i.e. outreach, scoring, prompt design), not just using the chat tools.
- Deep, current fluency in TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- A coach's touch: you help people tell their own story in their own voice.
- A builder's mindset: you create systems, templates and trainings that scale into a program.
- Strong analytical instincts: you balance data and creativity, optimizing performance as a whole for conversion, not just views.
- Able to work on site in Mountain View 3 days per week and own a function as it takes shape.
Nice to Have: experience with creator CRM or UGC platforms; hands-on content production experience, and experience in education or another category where claims are regulated.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 per year. Pay is dependent upon factors including skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
