ABOUT THE TEAM 🤝
The Rocket Money Data Analytics team is comprised of data analysts who are passionate about using data to drive business decisions and improve user experiences. Analysts work within a semi-embedded organizational structure to independently build data analytics tooling, drive strategy with data, and assess experiments within cross-functional product vertical aligned teams. Analysts also work closely with other members of the analytics engineering and data science teams to further our product delivery, operations, finance, and marketing goals.
We’re seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team and play a critical role in shaping our analytics strategy. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Growth Marketing team to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll leverage a full suite of analytical tools to measure performance across online channels, enhance our modern martech infrastructure, and develop scalable frameworks and tooling. Your work will be instrumental in evaluating and optimizing marketing investments against core business metrics, including ROAS, LTV, and conversion rates.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL 🤹
Be a trusted advisor on our marketing data. You will understand the intricacies of our ad platforms, MMP (we use Singular), and various third parties to produce a cohesive and actionable view. Including:
- Build and improve analytics reporting and processes (we use Looker)
- Work with stakeholders to scope analytical questions and determine appropriate KPIs/metrics
- Determine optimal data visualization methods for decision making
- Reduce technical debt, implement new parameters, and update LookML to align with best practices
- Collaborate with Data Engineering/Analytics Engineering on data mart and model requirements
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities in BI
- Analyze marketing experiments
- Includes ad hoc analysis of ad platform testing
- Work with our CRM team to analyze campaigns and global program holdouts
- Partner with the Growth team to translate business needs into data problems and prioritize work.
- Proactively identify new insights and recommendations and partner with growth stakeholders to implement solutions
- Complete ad hoc analysis including:
- Performance of keyword cohorts to identify targeting opportunities
- Building/analyzing composite success measures for marketing campaigns
- Applying growth marketing knowledge to analyze ad fatigue in our customer base
- Monitor marketing trends to proactively identify worthwhile trends for media buyers
ABOUT YOU 🦄
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or related roles.
- 2+ years experience in marketing or growth analytics or similar experience with modern marketing tech (e.g. MMPs, Social / Digital platforms, SKAN) and digital marketing optimization.
- 2+ years of experience with BI Tools (Looker preferred, Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma, Omni, Databricks)
- You have a strong SQL background. You are comfortable spinning up a quick analysis or proof of concept data model.
- You have experience with product, CRM, or marketing experimentation design and measurement.
- You understand what is possible, and what the limitations are, of marketing measurement and attribution. You enjoy the challenge of balancing rigor with the realities of the business.
- You’re comfortable with applying standard marketing measures such as: LTV/NPV, CAC, Cost per Action, Retention metrics, ROAS, CTR, CPM, etc.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and business decisions
Bonus points if:
- You have experience with our stack (BigQuery, Singular, Looker, dbt, Amplitude, DeepNote, git)
- You’re familiar with Agile process/Sprint cycles
- You have experience in mobile app analytics
- You have a genuine interest marketing attribution and technology including keeping up-to-date with emerging trends in the marketplace

Additional information: Salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 + bonus + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
