About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Creative Director, Copy. This role requires a proven leader with a passion for health advertising and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The role demands an ability to lead teams rather than manage. This entails mentorship (inspiring confidence when the team is “up against it” by solving problems before they negatively impact the team or the work. It entails taking the lead when others may want to shrink in times of challenge/adversity. The “big picture” is ever-present in your day-to-day efforts but making sure the team never loses sight of the “details” is also your responsibility. At this level, it is now incumbent upon you to hold the entire team accountable (including yourself) for agency hygiene and creative excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop original and compelling creative concepts that are strategically sound and meet client objectives.
  • Collaborate with art directors, account managers, and strategists to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the execution of creative projects, ensuring that they are on time and within budget.
  • Present creative work to clients, effectively communicating the strategic rationale and creative vision.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in new business pitches, contributing to the development of winning proposals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Manage team workload and resource allocation.
  • Champion creative excellence and agency hygiene.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems, mitigating negative impact on the team and work.
  • Demonstrate leadership in challenging situations, inspiring confidence and providing direction.
  • Maintain a "big picture" perspective while ensuring attention to detail within the team.
  • Hold the team accountable for delivering high-quality work that meets agency standards.
  • Contribute to agency growth and development through strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Need

  • 10 years experience in copywriting, concepting, and developing creative campaigns in the healthcare advertising industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor creative teams.
  • Deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present creative work effectively to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$100,000$230,000 USD
